
The director of the NIH expresses the manager of the research institute in drug addiction
The director of the National Institutes of Health gave sound approval to the main researcher in drug addiction in the country, Nora Volkow, this week in her first public remarks on the crisis of overdose of drugs – a potential signal that her position as leader of the National Institute on Drug Auspire is, at least for the moment, secure.
Speaking at the RX and at the top of illicit drugs in Nashville, Tennessee, this week, the newly installed director of NIH, Jay Bhattacharya, told the public that he was “proud” of his work and his Nida.
Although the Trump administration has never specifically questioned Volkow’s references or employment security, Bhattacharya’s remarks came at a deep moment for the agency.
