President Trump’s Federal Medicare Agency will accelerate the audit of Medicare Advantage insurers, a decision that could recover nearly $ 500 million a year for taxpayers, according to previous federal estimates.

However, the audits remain bogged down in a two -year legal action launched by Humana, which makes it unfortunate how the Trump administration will implement its new strategy.

The centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said on Wednesday that it would hire nearly 2,000 additional coders by September and use “advanced” technological systems to paint through data and ensure that the diagnostics that Advantage Medicare insurers are subject to government are supported in patient medical records. The agency did not say what type of technology it would use.
