Postnatal depletion: two children – and 7 years later – I only take a handful – here are my non -negotiable

My personal depletion chronology

With hindsight, I can identify the signs. I felt the worst not In the newborn mist, but years later. It struck when my youngest was about three years old. It is when my rules have become debilitating. My skin broke out. Anxiety has slipped. I was eating well and running (read, hunting my tail, not intentionally worked or taking my steps) but I found more and more difficult to lose the persistent postpartum weight. »»

I have had wild hormonal work and a always present feeling of being disabled. As if I was not myself, nor in the driver’s seat of my own body.

I looked at photos of myself at that time and I barely recognized myself. The smile was there, but the glow had gone. I felt in the shape of a clip – dry, but in a way sweating with the weight of all this. I felt exhausted in all directions. I felt mood swings that I had never had before, still almost five years after childbirth. Heavy periods had become the standard.

The reflection that I saw did not feel like me, and I realized that I had been on the last time on each list for years.

And it was my turn.

A single yoga session per week and eating more protein was not going to cut it. I needed real help. I needed to put myself completely first, if I wanted my family to get the best of me. And I still have to continue doing this. Coherence is everything.

My current non-negotiations are:

  • Daily supplements (high resistance and correctly targeted for me)
  • movement: Force training has changed the situation, just like a bar, and I swim 1 to 2 times a week – because I love the three of them
  • good nutritionWith a strong accent on proteins and fibers (read, do not jump meals and compensate with a large super-nutritious but late dinner)
  • sleep: I am in bed at 11 p.m. at the latest (and working to get it even earlier – honestly, it’s a huge progress for me)
a certain form of fitness class once or twice a week, whether with my charming local PT or a yoga lesson
  • 10k steps a day
  • no coffee After 1 p.m.
  • 2 liters of water A day, minimum

There is more than I get a thumbing, but This This is what changes the needle for me right now. Finally. I cannot believe how much I took the time of this time since I became a mom. I mean, I can, but I can’t.

I also swear by a high quality vitamin B complex for coherent energy, multivitamin, vitamin D3 with K2, a probiotic and omega-3, more magnesium. I swell in other supplements – such as adaptogens and Berberine – but it is my current reference line
